Practice materials to improve your writing

bullet1 Word order

Your feedback says:

WORD ORDER - you have written a group of words in the wrong order. Re-arrange.

So what’s the problem? And what do you need to do?

Word order in English is quite rigid because there are no cases or other forms to determine the functions of words and phrases. Other languages may be much more flexible about word order, which often leads to mistakes. Check your sentence structure follows the pattern of A+S+A+P+O+A where A = adverbial phrases, S = subject, P = verb phrase, O = Object.

Remember also that in general adverbs are arranged as follows: manner + place + time .

Questions and stress change word order in line by following specific rules. Check them out!
