SOCIAL PROGRAMME: JULY 2001

WEEK 4: 30th – 5th August

 

Monday 30th

SPORTS NIGHT 7-9 PM.

This is held in the Sports Hall. We will meet at Lafrowda in front of L/M Blocks at 6.45 pm. You can play squash, table tennis or use the gym. Everyone is welcome to join in, regardless of ability. We may be able to arrange football, volleyball, and tennis on request.

Please make sure you bring your yellow passes with you and remember you cannot wear black-soled shoes in the games rooms.

 

Tuesday 31st

 

WELCOME DRINKS 5.00 –7.00 PM.

 

This is held in the Central Courtyard of the Streatham Court. In case of rain, we will meet in the common room. Refreshments will be available. Come along and get to know the staff and the rest of the students in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.

 

 

Wednesday 1st

 

NIGHT OFF.

 

To relax, settle in and build up your energy for the busy weekend!!

 

 

Thursday 2nd

 

CREAM TEA 5.30 – 7.00.

 

A traditional “Cream tea” is a delicious Devon Speciality. If you are intrigued by the name, then come and find out what a “Cream tea” is and how it is eaten for only £3.

 

Students in Lafrowda will meet at 4.45 pm in front of L/M Blocks. Students in James Owen Court will meet at 5 pm in A Block.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Friday 3rd

Saturday 4th

 

TRIP BY COACH TO BATH.

 

For many of you this will be your first weekend out! This trip will take us to the Roman city of Bath. There is a lot to see and do here, including visiting the Roman Baths, the Cathedral, the Photography Museum, and of course seeing the Roman-style buildings. Bath is also ideal for shopping.

 

Time of departure: 9 am from the Squash Club.

Arrival in Exeter: 7 pm.

 

Sunday 5th

 

FREE DAY.

 

A good opportunity to see around Exeter, do some shopping and have a day for yourselves.
