log_1

The last four days were really exciting. On Thursday our group conducted a mini survey. We interviewed several englishmen {***} {1} about the peculiarities of hospitality in England and a role of a man a woman in it {2}. To our great surprise the answers of men and women were rather different. Later on we presented our information in class. In conclusion, one of our speakers,Saif, ( he is from Oman {3}) tried to compare English and oriental approach to hospitality. I think this form of education ( working in multicultural groups and comparative analysis of different cultures) is very useful and significant. It helps people from diffrerent countries to find common language and to understand each culture {4} better than ever before. While working in multicultural groups I also knew out {5} that germans tend to be direct and punctual as well as {6} englishmen{7} are more diplomatical {8} and flexible in their judgements and behaviour. What I like in this course is that I have to work in groups with people who have already had a large {9} practical experience in different spheres of business. Besides, I highly appreciate practical tasks, such as visiting Dartington Crystal and inerviewing businessmen {10} about their professional activities. What I would like to see more in this course is to work with more business terminology in connection with the practical tasks.
