Log about my experiences during the first week in Exeter

The field research on Thursday was quite interesting. Our group had chosen the topic "How to invite somebody in England and find out about the differences between the English and other cultures". We went to the city with the intention to find an Englishman and an Englishwoman to ask them about their way of inviting somebody to their home. We decided not to interview more than two people, but in that certain interviews we tried to find out as much as possible. In our group of three we separated our presentation in three parts. So each of us could present one of them to the classmates. I think it is very good to improve the presentation skills in a foreign language, because you have to concentrate on topic and language. With some practice on that I really hope to improve my speaking till the end of the course.

Dear Heinz,

Thank you for your second log. Please be careful with plurals: people have different homes, lives, etc. so English people express this by using plural forms. Keep up the good spirit.

Best wishes
