1. Last Saturday was my first time to be out of Exeter and have a chance to visit other city, the Roman Bath. This is also a beautiful city, however, we did not have enough time to spend there. Furthermore, it was too crowded because of the weekend.

2. From the class of these two days, I find it more interesting as we had the chance to go over the specific words, phrases and expressions about business. However, what I really need to work hard for is the listening skill for the business news, Of course, language is the main reason but the knowledge of the business issues is a reason why I cannot quite catch the news as well.

3. I am one of the students who do not participate in the project work. First, I would like to mention that it's a good opportunity for me if I can be part of the project work since I will be very glad to have the chance to visit the local company here and talk to the people who work in the marketing department in this company. However, the correct and proper business English expression for me is now more important. Thus, I cannot help choosing another alternative. Like what we say, "Choose either fish or palm of bear wen you cannot get them both." Since this project takes too much time and it's not possible to make it shorter, I would rather learn more appropriate business English in the afternoon. Thank you for your listening to us.

Dear Yi Shu,

Thanks for your second log. As you can see, there's hardly anything to comment on in your writing. If you would like to include word lists and expressions you have found useful in your classroom work, I am happy to put these into web-based practice materials for you so you can review and repeat them. These materials can be crossword puzzles, gap filling exercises or matching tasks.

I look forward to your next log.

Best wishes

Norbert
