Project 'Ernst&Young in Thailand and UK' From: Anchalee Donsakul Date: 09.09.99 Time: 19:57:12 Remote Name: 194.82.103.37 Comments Ernst&Young is one of the 'Big 5' auditing company {2} in the world. It is an international company that has branches around the world. Although Ernst&Young has an {3} auditing service {4} as a*** {5} core business, it provides other services such {6} tax {7} , corporate finance, business risk consulting, information system assurance, investment and management consulting. This Project {8} is focusing {9} on management consulting service {10} :*** {11} in Thailand and United Kingdom. The goal of Management Consulting Department is to help business to operate completely, correctly and effectively. In Thailand, the main service of management consultants is to reorganise companies. As Thailand is an economic growing country {12} , many businesses are expanding enormously and rapidly. Such companies have difficulties to operate within the companies {13} . As the numbers employed in the company grow, the structure become more complex; vertically the number of levels of management increases with the additional problem of delegation and control of each level; horizontally there are more separate working groups between which co-ordinating and communicating links must be established. For reorganising, what we {14} do for customer's {15} company consists of 3 steps: current operation learning {16} , finding out the problems and making recommendation {17} . To learn {18} a current operation, staffs {19} from Ernst&Young are formed as {20} a team and relocate into customer's {21} office. The aim of this step is to take a clear look at the current operations of the business; {22} it covers the following area: history and background of the company, policy, products, markets, technology, planning control and the detail {23} of operation within the company. Therefore, all kinds of documents and all of people {24} in the company must be observed an {25} interviewed. During this step, process flow charts would {26} be created to clearly show the function of each person in detail.
